It always goes further than you think

Vomit on a rear seat runs down the seat back, into the seam at the base of the cushion, through to the underside of the seat, and onto the carpet beneath. On the way it goes into the seat belt buckle housing, the seat rails and often the console gap. Cleaning what is visible on the surface leaves the majority of the material in place, which is why the smell returns on the first warm day.

We work the areas you cannot see, and where the material has gone into the seat foam through the seam, we flush and extract rather than surface treating.

What to do before we arrive

Remove solid material if you can, blot with towels rather than rubbing, leave the windows cracked if the vehicle is in a safe place, and do not apply heat or a steam cleaner — heat sets protein permanently into fabric. Skip the all-purpose cleaner from under the sink; it usually just adds a residue we then have to remove.
